Most water treatment companies make you book an appointment to find out whether you can afford them. We would rather you knew the starting numbers now. The prices below are real starting points for real installs around Tyler and Smith County, and the sections underneath explain exactly what moves a quote up from there.
Starting prices
| Service | Starting price | What that covers |
|---|---|---|
| Whole-home treatment, including a softener | From $3,250 installed | A system sized to your measured hardness and household, professionally installed |
| Under-sink reverse osmosis | From $1,150 installed | Drinking water system at the kitchen tap, installed and commissioned |
| Annual maintenance visit | From $175 + parts | Two hours: full system checkup, valve adjustments, and filter changes where needed |
| Well water systems | Call for pricing | Sized to your measured iron, sulfide, hardness, sediment, and household flow |
| Iron & sulfur removal | Call for pricing | Oxidizing filtration sized to your actual iron and sulfide readings |
| Commercial systems | Call for pricing | Sized to daily volume and duty cycle for your building |
| On-site water test | Free | We come to you, test at your tap, and explain the results in plain English |

What moves the number
Three things account for most of the difference between a starting price and a final quote, and none of them are guesswork once we have tested your water.
- Your measured levels. Hardness, iron, and sulfide readings decide the media, the tank size, and sometimes whether you need one piece of equipment or two. Higher levels mean more capacity, and more capacity costs more.
- Household size and flow. A system that keeps up with two people and one bathroom is not the system that keeps up with five people and three bathrooms. We size for the demand you actually have.
- What your plumbing already has. If your home was built with a loop for treatment equipment, the install is straightforward. If it was not, the plumbing work to tie the system in is part of the job, and that varies house to house.
What the annual visit actually includes
Maintenance starts at $175 plus parts, and it is two hours of real work rather than a drive-by. That covers a complete system checkup, any valve adjustments the system needs, and filter changes where needed. Parts are quoted separately, because what a system needs depends on the water it has been treating all year. On a reverse osmosis system the cartridge changes fold into this same visit, and we confirm the right schedule for your water instead of applying a generic calendar.
Why some systems are not priced on this page
Well water, iron and sulfur, and commercial systems all say "call for pricing" above, and that is deliberate rather than evasive. An honest number for those does not exist until the water is measured. A well two miles from another well can carry completely different iron and sulfide levels, and a restaurant and a small office with the same square footage can have completely different daily volumes. Publishing one figure would mean publishing a figure that is wrong for most people who read it. We would rather test first and then tell you the truth.
